Are you a fee-only, fiduciary advisor? What does that mean?

Yes, TCA is a fee-only, fiduciary advisor at all times. As a fee-only advisor I’m not paid commissions or fees of any kind by any product provider; I’m paid solely by my clients. This means TCA is not monetarily incentivized to choose certain investments, and you won’t be offered other products to purchase. As a fiduciary TCA is required to always act in our client’s best interests. At TCA, your needs come first – ahead of anything else.

What service do you provide?

TCA offers comprehensive wealth management, financial planning, and investment advice in a fee-only, fiduciary engagement.

How much experience do you have?

Kyle has been providing conflict free investment advice to individuals and families for nearly 20 years. Troika was founded in 2010, and prior to starting TCA, Kyle was the Director of Financial Planning at a wealth management firm that specialized in providing advice to high-net-worth families.

What can I expect from our first meeting?

Financial planning is a trust-based, collaborative relationship; our initial meeting helps determine whether we are a good fit to work together. First meetings are generally very conversational. I start by learning more about you, your family and your goals, and explain more about what being a client of TCA entails.

Is there a cost for the first meeting?

No. There is no cost or obligation for our first introductory meeting.

How often would we meet?

This truly depends on you, and we work at your pace.  Some clients prefer the structure of a quarterly or semiannual call, while others prefer to meet less or as specific needs arise. In general, clients should expect to invest a bit more time at the start of the relationship as we work together to establish rapport, document your current financial status and put plans into action. No matter the usual cadence, each client should feel comfortable calling us anytime.

How do you charge for your services?

TCA’s fee-only structure is transparent and easy to understand.  Our clients are our only source of revenue, and our fee is based solely on the value of your assets under management.

How do I get started?

Request a call and let’s have a discussion to determine if working together makes sense.  There is no cost or obligation for the initial call. We welcome your questions and are happy to talk more about what it’s like to be a Troika client.

Will you communicate with other professionals
(tax preparer, attorney, insurance agent, etc.)?

Yes! Ensuring the professionals you work with are aligned is a critical and is part of the comprehensive planning process.

Will you be able to explain unfamiliar topics in a way that’s easy to understand?

TCA believes finance does not have to be overcomplicated to be highly effective, and ongoing education and guidance are a big part of your partnership with TCA.  Whether you want a deeper understanding of complex concepts or a basic explanation of what we provide, TCA is always willing and available to offer clear and easy-to-understand advice.

Do you offer virtual or phone appointments?

Yes, TCA offers appointments that fit into your lifestyle. I offer virtual meetings, phone calls and in-person meetings at my office in Atlanta. Additionally, I still enjoy making house calls for established local clients.  TCA has clients all over the country and can serve you no matter where you’re located.

Is there an account minimum for new clients?

The minimum investment for new clients is $250,000. This minimum can be waived in certain circumstances such as for existing client’s family or friends as well as younger high-income earners who haven’t yet built a large nest egg.

Do you accept referrals?

You bet! Almost all new clients come via referrals from current clients. We consider referrals a sincere compliment and a product of the genuine relationships we build with our clients.
